By quenching the contact interaction, it is possible to destroy the phase coherence in a dipolar supersolid. However, the supersolidity is “repaired” when reversing the dephasing process.
Experimental physicist Francesca Ferlaino was elected Fellow of the American Physical Society (APS) in September. With the Fellowship, the members of the Society honor outstanding scientific achievements of their colleagues.
