Dipolar Quantum Gases of Erbium Atoms

In our Lab, we daily produce Bose-Einstein condensates (BEC) and degenerate Fermi gases (dFG) of strongly magnetic Er atoms, which is the last born species in the family of Bose condensed atoms.

Rydberg Atoms with Rare Earths

We are building a new experimental apparatus RARE, Rydberg Atoms with Rare Earths. The RARE lab daily produce degenerate gases with a mixture of two highly magnetic lanthanides, Erbium and Dysprosium.

Dipolar Quantum Gases of Erbium Atoms

We are currently designing and building a new experimental apparatus to study highly excited Erbium atoms. For this, we will implement a Tweezer array for Rydberg atoms of Erbium for Quantum Simulation (T-REQS).
