BH’s Short Profile

 

Benedict was born on 23rd of December 1991 in Ried, Austria. After receiving Matura/A-levels in 2013 he started studying physics in Innsbruck at the Leopold Franzens University, where he wrote his bachelor’s thesis about spatial light modulators in the group of Gregor Weihs under the supervision of Mathias Sassermann. In November 2018 he joined the group of Francesca Ferlaino at the IQOQI (Innsbruck)  to work on his master’s thesis about a concept of fast MOT loading for a new experimental setup with erbium atoms in optical tweezers. He likes to spend his spare time snowboarding, doing archery and behind his camera.
