Encouraging Young Women in Science: Our Contribution to Sommertechnikum MINT 2025

We were pleased to once again represent the Institute of Experimental Physics at this year’s Sommertechnikum MINT at the University of Innsbruck.

The Sommertechnikum MINT is an annual program designed to introduce young women* to the world of MINT subjects—Mathematics, Informatics (Computer Science), Natural Sciences, and Technology.

In July, Sarah introduced the basics of Bose-Einstein condensation and gave an overview of the physics study program as well as potential career paths in the field. In September, Eva gave a talk on dipolar gases and supersolids, and Clemens from the ErDy Lab and Daniel from TREQS offered lab tours to give participants a closer look at current research.

We are proud to support this valuable initiative that encourages young women* to explore the excitement and opportunities offered by MINT disciplines.
