{"id":36,"date":"2015-09-25T23:01:29","date_gmt":"2015-09-25T21:01:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.erbium.at\/FF\/?page_id=36"},"modified":"2025-09-10T14:25:27","modified_gmt":"2025-09-10T12:25:27","slug":"team","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.erbium.at\/FF\/team\/","title":{"rendered":"The Dipolar Team"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong><span style=\"color: #993366;\"><a style=\"color: #993366;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.erbium.at\/FF\">Dipolar Quantum Gas group<\/a><\/span><\/strong> has been established in late 2009 thanks to an ERC Starting Grant, a START Prize, and the generous support of our Institute and of the Center for Ultracold Atoms and Quantum Gases.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p>Back in 2009, we started the <strong><span style=\"color: #993366;\"><a style=\"color: #993366;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.erbium.at\/FF\/?page_id=38711(opens in a new tab)\">ERBIUM project<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>with a small group: Francesca, Albert, and Rudi. Over the years the group enlarged and few years later, in 2017, we started a second experiment: the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.erbium.at\/FF\/?page_id=38719\"><strong><span style=\"color: #993366;\">ER-DY project<\/span><\/strong><\/a>, located at IQOQI and partially supported by an ERC Consolidator Grant. In 2019, we opened a new research line on Rydberg tweezer arrays with the establishment of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.erbium.at\/FF\/?page_id=38630(opens in a new tab)\"><span style=\"color: #993366;\"><strong>T-Reqs project <\/strong><\/span><\/a>and we established a <strong><span style=\"color: #993366;\"><a style=\"color: #993366;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.erbium.at\/FF\/?page_id=38999(opens in a new tab)\">THEORY team<\/a><\/span><\/strong> within our group in close collaboration with the group of Russell Bisset.
