The <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">successful candidate will join Dr. Thomas Bland and Prof. Francesca Ferlaino at\u00a0 <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">the University of Innsbruck, Austria. The work concerns the question: \u201cHow \u2018solid\u2019 <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">is a dipolar supersolid?\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Following the observation of supersolidity in Bose-<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Einstein condensates comprised of atoms with a significant dipole moment four <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">years ago, much research has focused on exploring the superfluidity of the <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">crystallised state. Here, we wish to investigate the solidity of the state, by <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">probing solid properties of the material, such as shear, strain, and the plasticity. <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">A PhD in Physics or a closely related field is required (or be close to completion). <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Candidates with an expertise in numerical and computational methods to tackle <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">quantum many-body and mean-field theory are especially encouraged to apply. <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">The expected start date is no later than September 2023. The Gross salary for a <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Postdoctoral Researcher under the FWF is 56k\u20ac per annum.
