TH’s Short Profile

Tanausú was born on the 26th of February of 1993 in Canary Islands, Spain. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Physics at the University of La Laguna, Tenerife, with an Erasmus stay at Durham University, England. Then, he invested a gap year to work on a startup project and came back to the University of La Laguna to complete a Master’s degree on Astrophysics with specialty on Structure of Matter. Afterwards, he became a PhD student at the Institute of Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IFPAN) in Warsaw, Poland, under the supervision of dr. hab. Emilia Witkowska. He works on theoretical understanding of spin squeezing and temporal coherence under dipolar interactions. He moved to Innsbruck for a long internship to finish his PhD studies with the intent to understand better the experimental conditions and attractive research directions explored by the Dipolar Quantum Gases group.

2020 – Present Ph.D. student in Physics at Institute of Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Project title: Temporal coherence of dipolar ultra-cold gases. Supervised by Dr. Hab. Emilia Witkowska.
