Er-Team hike to the Meissner Haus
On July 23th, the Erbium Team was hiking to the Meissner Haus near Innsbruck to get together for a discussion day.
Welcome to Russell Bisset
Beginning in July, Russell joined the University of Innsbruck as an Assistant Professor. He is building a theory group within the Department of Experimental Physics, with a focus on ultracold quantum gases, most notably bringing his expertise on dipolar Bose-Einstein condensates. He is looking forward to working in Innsbruck and taking advantage of the beautiful surroundings.
ESQ Postdoc Fellowship awarded to Matthew
Matt has been awarded a postdoctoral fellowship from the Erwin Schrödinger Center for Quantum Science and Technology (ESQ). As an ESQ postdoc, Matt will study dipolar quantum mixtures of erbium and dysprosium atoms in the RARE lab of Francesca Ferlaino. Lauriane Chomaz becomes member of the New Journal of Physics Editorial Board
Since May 15th 2020, Lauriane has joined the Editorial Board of New Journal of Physics (NJP). NJP is a scientific journal publishing important new research with significance across a broad readership.
Jan is now Doctor of Philosophy
Jan held his defense for his PhD thesis and is now officially a Doctor of Philosophy.
He will continue to carry out his research as a post-doctoral fellow in the group of Selim Jochim in Heidelberg.
